About Rick and Kelly 

We’re Virginia natives who have always believed in the power of family, togetherness, and slowing down to enjoy the moments that matter most. Rick works in real estate in Loudoun County, and Kelly—after more than 30 years as a dedicated high school Spanish teacher—is now happily retired. Together, we’ve raised two wonderful children and have cherished every stage of our journey as a family.

As our children grew older and life became busier, we found ourselves longing for a place where we could all come together again—a peaceful retreat away from the hustle of everyday life. Somewhere to laugh, recharge, and create new memories with the next generation. That dream brought us to Lake Gaston.

The moment we found Oak Pointe, we knew it was something special. Nestled on the water with beautiful views and a sense of calm that’s hard to describe, it instantly felt like home. We envisioned long summer days on the dock, quiet mornings with coffee on the deck, and evenings filled with stories, games, and laughter. A true escape for our family—and now, hopefully, yours.
